Dermal Fillers

Cosmetic injections of dermal fillers are designed to literally ‘fill in’ or ‘plump up’ static wrinkles and reduce the depth of facial folds that are present at rest. This creates a smoother, more refreshed facial appearance. Deeper injections are used to add volume to facial features, such as cheek augmentation and lip enhancement.

The dermal fillers in our Wagga Wagga clinic have been on the international market since 1996, and have a proven safety record.

What are the results from dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are a great way to plump out the nasolabial folds (smile lines), enhance your lips and define facial contours. Dermal fillers add volume to your skin without affecting the muscles, so you still have natural expression.

The results typically last from 12-18 months depending on the area treated, choice of filler, and how fast the patient’s body metabolises (absorbs) the dermal filler.

What is it like to get dermal fillers?

Local anaesthetic as either a cream, and or injection, can be used before the treatment to eliminate any discomfort. Most dermal fillers are now produced local anaesthetic pre mixed in the syringe to assist with patient comfort.

The procedure consists of a few injections in the treatment area, and can be completed in about 30 minutes. Most people return to work on the same day after getting dermal fillers in Sydney.

Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is quite a normal response to the injection and usually disappears within a few days. Some areas are more prone to bruising and swelling. Applying ice to treated areas will reduce swelling. Less frequently temporary pain, firmness, lumps, itching and discolouration can also occur at the injection site.

When combined with anti wrinkle injections in Wagga, lines that are both present at rest and due to muscle movement can be smoothed out.
