Maintaining the health and appearance of your skin requires a thoughtful approach, considering the daily factors that can impact its vitality and appearance. Elements like sun protection, moisturizer, makeup, and the accumulation of dead skin cells play a significant role in shaping the condition of your skin. Over time, these factors can contribute to the clogging of pores, creating a barrier that traditional at-home exfoliants will struggle to thoroughly address.

The challenge lies in achieving a deeper level of cleansing that truly revitalizes your skin and helps prevent undesirable breakouts. This is where the concept of microdermabrasion comes into play.

What is microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is part of a family of skin care treatments that also include dermabrasion, hydradermabrasion, and hydrabrasion.

When we refer to microdermabrasion and dermabrasion, we're talking about non-invasive procedures that employ specialized tools to exfoliate the skin. By carefully removing the outermost layer, these treatments enhance the overall appearance and texture of your skin.

What is hydrabrasion/hydradermabrasion?

Now, let's delve into the innovative realm of hydrabrasion! This advanced aesthetic technology has gained popularity in Australia for its ability to provide a comprehensive yet gentle skincare experience. At New Age Skin Care, we're proud to offer hydrabrasion treatments that combine detailed precision with skin rejuvenation.

During a hydrabrasion session, our skilled clinical professionals use a handheld device equipped with a diamond tip. This tip gently exfoliates the skin's surface, akin to the process of traditional microdermabrasion. However, what sets hydrabrasion apart is its unique infusion of a water-based solution. This solution serves as an added dimension to the treatment, working harmoniously to cleanse and renew your skin.

Where can I get a microdermabrasion/hydrabrasion treatment in Wagga?

Our hydrabrasion treatment is performed in our Wagga skin clinic by our cosmetic nurses or skin specialists who have extensive experience with all different types of skin and skin conditions. The treatment involves your facial skin being deeply exfoliated with our hydrabrasion machine, which uses diamonds to exfoliate while simultaneously vacuuming and washing your skin.

Can hydrabrasion treatments help my skin?

Our hydrabrasion can be used for acne and oily skin types, as well as clients with aging concerns, to help brighten & deeply exfoliate the skin. Blackheads, pimples, and cysts are all caused by dirt, oil, and bacteria buildup from within the pores. The skin needs to be cleaned professionally to have a better chance of preventing breakouts. The water-based solution used in hydrabrasion typically contains various beneficial ingredients such as antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and other nourishing compounds to help heal the skin.

As the exfoliation occurs, the solution helps to loosen and remove dead skin cells, dirt, and impurities from the skin's surface, which is perfect for acne-prone skin! The combination of mechanical exfoliation and the infusion of the solution results in a dual action of exfoliation and hydration, leaving the skin smoother, clearer, and more radiant.

How often should I have hydrabrasion treatments?

We would recommend having this treatment monthly to improve the skin barrier and your skin performing to its optimum functioning level. Book online to arrange your first appointment.

What is a hydrabrasion treatment like?

Hydrabrasion is often chosen for its gentler approach compared to traditional microdermabrasion, making it suitable for individuals with sensitive skin types and various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and clogged pores. This also makes it a great time to have a nap! It’s not at all like having your teeth cleaned (thank goodness!). Hydrabrasion is generally considered pain-free, comfortable and is actually very relaxing!

Your skin will be cleansed, then a small diamond tip that is attached to a mild vacuum cleaner is worked over your facial skin rhythmically to exfoliate it and to remove dead skin. Once the blockages are cleared from the pores and follicles, a deeper clean can be achieved. This is when we gently wash it to clean out the build-up.

It’s also relatively quick, with minimal to no downtime afterward.

How much does microdermabrasion/hydrabrasion cost?
