Our Q&A with Georgia…

Where did you get your qualifications?

I studied my bachelor of Nursing at Latrobe University and have worked a range of acute wards including Surgical, ICU and Emergency Departments.  While working at the hospital I studied a Gradate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables at AACDS (Australian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science) to enhance my skill and knowledge in the field.

What inspired you to become a Cosmetic Nurse?

I was inspired to pursue a career as a cosmetic nurse due to my profound love for aesthetics. The artistry and science behind aesthetic procedures fascinate me, and I am drawn to the opportunity to help individuals enhance their appearance and boost their self-confidence. The transformative power of cosmetic treatments, coupled with the ability to positively impact people's lives, is incredibly fulfilling for me.

Witnessing the joy and increased self-esteem that patients experience after undergoing aesthetic procedures motivates me to enter the field and utilise my skills to assessing patients, understanding their unique needs and desires, and tailoring treatment plans to create natural and harmonious results.

What skin concern are you most passionate about treating and why?

As a cosmetic nurse, my passion for addressing uneven skin tones stems from witnessing the positive impact it can have on individuals' lives. Uneven skin tone is a common concern that can affect people of all ages and backgrounds. It can create feelings of self-consciousness, low self-esteem, and even hinder one's social interactions.

I am passionate about helping individuals achieve a more even and radiant complexion because I understand the transformative power it can have on their overall well-being. By addressing uneven skin tones, I can contribute to boosting their confidence and helping them feel more comfortable and proud of their skin.

What is your favourite skin treatment to do and why?

I love chemical peels due to their remarkable ability to rejuvenation and transform the skin.  I am incredibly passionate about helping individuals achieve their desired skin goals, and chemical peels offer a powerful solution for a wide range of concerns. Whether it's targeting hyperpigmentation, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, or addressing acne and acne scars, chemical peels can deliver remarkable results.

For injectables, I like antiwrinkle treatments because of the fast results, people feel rejuvenated to their in their own skin right away.

What skin care products are you currently using?

I like to keep my skin regimen as simple as possible.
